Full Speed Ahead

This adult Bald Eagle flew in the perfect direction for me to get a nice take off shot. Even with the strong late afternoon light.

Time to Fly

This adult Bald Eagle decided to take off after a short drink from the lake. I was hoping it would take a nice long bath, but I'll take this shot with all it's wonderful late afternoon light catching the underside of the bird's wings. Also, I'm about 250 yards away from this one. It's amazing how detailed the Sony a7rIV is when attached to a 600 mm f/4 with a doubler.

Learning to Fly

Here's a juvenile Bald Eagle in its first few weeks of learning to fly. You can find them on the ground much more often during those weeks which can provide some interesting photographic opportunities.

Cleaning up

I had the privilege of watching this adult bald eagle take it's afternoon bath right next to this juvenile. This is a single frame, not focus stacked.

Late Evening Reflections

This adult eagle is hopping up on top of the downed log to dry off after getting a bit of a drink and a wash. The juvenile is just watching it all happen.
